Gary L. Dudicz, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home on July 30, 2026.

Born on January 4, 1947, in Burbank, California, Gary was the son of Leonard Dudicz and Jean (Dodge/Dudicz) Metsker. He spent his formative years in Michigan and graduated from Petoskey High School class of 1965.

Gary's lifelong fascination with boats, automobiles, and mechanical systems led him to a rewarding career as a mechanic. Known for his skill, ingenuity, and strong work ethic, he took pride in solving problems and keeping things running smoothly.

Music was another enduring passion throughout Gary's life. An accomplished bass guitarist, he played in numerous bands across the country, sharing his love of music with fellow musicians and audiences alike. Whether working with his hands or performing on stage, Gary brought determination, talent, and enthusiasm to everything he did.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Linda O'Meara. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Dudicz; his brother Jeff (Diane) Dodge, his son Josh (Roxanne) Dudicz; and his three grandchildren. He will be remembered for his mechanical talents, musical spirit, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.

Gary's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
