IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gail Nadine
Wade
October 4, 1937 – March 28, 2019
On March 28, 2019, Gail Nadine Wade went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Daughter of Emily "Grace" and Fredrick Guy Phinney, she was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 4, 1937. Growing up in Detroit, she was active in Voice of Christian Youth and worked as a car hop in her teenage years. She graduated from Cass Tech High School with a major in nutrition. In 1955 she and her family moved to Lake City, Michigan where she began working at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac in the dietary department. She also met and fell in love with a young man by the name of Bill Wade. They were married on May 18, 1957 and had 3 daughters. Besides raising a houseful of girls, she worked for a while part-time at Vicksburg Schools and eventually started working at Triple S Plastics in Vicksburg. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Gold Wing Association. Gail also enjoyed reading, working jigsaw puzzles, had a great sense of humor and loved living life. In the aftermath of a serious motor vehicle accident almost a year ago, she was residing at Masonic Pathways in Alma, Mi where she passed away. She had also been in the LTAC unit at Pipp Hospital in Plainwell for a lengthy period of time. We wish to thank all those who were involved in her care. It seemed that no matter what was thrown her way, she would always have a smile on her face. Preceding her in death are her parents, sisters Jeanne Phinney and Patricia Phinney, daughter Beverly Taylor. Surviving are loving husband, William Wade, daughters Kathleen (Greg) Yarworth and Tracey Wade, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Jo (Darrold) McKeown and Judy (Gordon) Lydic. Cremation has taken place and there will be a family/friends gathering at a later date.
