Fred Rother passed away at home with his family on January 12, 2024.

Fred was born on February 7, 1933 in Weisstein/Silesia, Germany.  He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Martha Rother and his sister, Marianne Stoelzle.

Surviving him is his wife of 58 years, Irene Rother, who provided him with loving care for the last years of his life.  Also surviving him are his children: Anya Hendricks (Tracy Witt) and Corina (Scott) Dulecki, his grandchildren: Scott McElroy, Gabriel Dulecki, and Izabella Dulecki, and family members: Fritz Stoelzle, Peter Stoelzle, Karen Stoelzle and Marcus (Sandra) Daniel.

Fred and his family came to the United States in December 1949 to Buffalo, NY. Fred and Irene raised their children in Tulsa Oklahoma, and moved to Grand Rapids eight years ago.  He retired from American Airlines after 37 years as a programmer analyst.
