Frank Neil Breiner of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 62, passed away at home on June 6, 2019. He was born to the late Frank Sidney Breiner and Nina Groves Breiner on January 11, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a 1975 graduate of East Kentwood High School. Frank was an avid NASCAR fan and Mark Martin was his driver. He was an enthusiastic Detroit sports fan and absolutely loved his Michigan Wolverines. He enjoyed camping, including many trips to Mackinaw Island, Cedar Point and NASCAR races. He loved going out to breakfast with family and friends and was always the last to finish eating. Frank spent most of his career in quality control for various auto manufacturing companies and, although he was technologically savvy at work, he refused to use a cell phone and collected hundreds of vinyl record albums. Along with his parents, Frank and Nina Breiner, he was preceded in death by his brother Eric Breiner. He is survived by his sister Deb (Jim) Rathbun, brother Kurt Breiner, sister-in-law Koleti Breiner, nieces and nephews Carl (Sandra) and Paul (Brittany) Rathbun, Stephanie, Cordelia and Frank Breiner. He also had four great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2019 and one hour prior to the service at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, Michigan 49508. The funeral service for Frank will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, June 14, 2019, at Ofield Funeral Home. Pastor Michael Wentzel, Saint Mark Lutheran Church, will be presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 300 S. Riverside Plaza, Ste. 1200, Chicago IL 60606-6637.
