Obituary

Frances Schnooberger passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, at the age of 86, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on March 12, 1939, to the late Lena and Santo Tragna, Frances lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a passion for creativity.

Frances was a graduate of Western Michigan University. Her professional journey led her to a fulfilling career at the Eaton Corporation, from which she retired after many years of dedicated service.

Beyond her professional achievements, Frances was an extraordinary woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had an eye for beauty, which she expressed through her love of shopping and her talent for making her own jewelry, earning her the endearing nickname "The Princess".

Frances's heart was always full, and her greatest joy came from her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful parent to her children, son Jon (Adriane) Schnooberger and their children Matthew, Sherri, and Clayton, daughter Shawn Guminski and her children Brooke (Curt) and Andrew, daughter Blythe (Rob, Frances' favorite ex son-in-law) Colwell and their children Kerri, Zachary, and Joshua (Keeley), and son Christopher (Sherry) Schnooberger and their children Dustin, Caden, and Tenley, as well as her step-son Shane Schnooberger. Her love extended to her cherished great-grandchildren, Jordan, Noah, Alivia, Kensley, Laikyn, Mason, Emma, and Azai. Frances's memory will be held dear by her family, including her two special nieces, Amy Fischer and Bobbie Biby, who held a unique place in her heart.

Though her beloved husband Jon, her sister Dorothy, and her parents preceded her in death, Frances's ability to care about everyone unconditionally made her a cherished figure within her family and community.

Frances's life was one of giving, not just to her family, but to everyone she encountered. She was the embodiment of kindness and selflessness, always putting others before herself. Her warm presence and loving nature were the hallmarks of her character, and those who knew her will remember her as a woman who truly made a difference in the lives of others.

As we say goodbye to Frances, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the extraordinary life she lived. Her memory will be treasured forever, and her influence will endure through the countless lives she touched with her loving and kind spirit.

Frances Schnooberger's family will hold a private ceremony to honor her life and legacy at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America .
