January 2, 2012 Service: January 6, 2012 Butler - Floyd William "Bil" Butler went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 2, 2012, after an inspirational battle with dementia. He was born in Ben's Run, WV among many friends and family. Bil graduated from Weir High School in Weirton and then from Eastern Nazarene College in Boston, MA. In 1962 he married his best friend and love of this life, Mary Lou Lamp and enjoyed a long and happy marriage. He is survived by his beloved Mary Lou; children, Carolyn (Don) Kuiphoff, Eric (Cherri) Butler, Tricia (Nathan) Ruffer; grandchildren, Caleb, Rylee, Emilee, Wesley, Anna, Benjamin, Zachary and Aaron. Bil is also survived by a sister, Betty Jo (Don) Allen and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shelva Jeanine Butler. The family will receive friends at Grand Rapids International Fellowship, 3765 Kalamazoo Ave, Grand Rapids on Friday, January 6, from 10:00 to 11:00AM with a celebration of Bil's life beginning at 11:00 AM. In memory of Bil, contributions may be made to Hospice of Spectrum Health. We will all miss Bil, but look forward to being together again soon.
