Florence "Flo" Messingier, age 92, passed away while surrounded by family on Friday, September 1, 2023. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Henry and Nellie Messingier and was raised in Hamtramck, Michigan with her six siblings.

After her marriage, she moved to Clinton Township, Michigan and raised four children in the same house that she lived in for over 60 years. She was a proud worker for the Chrysler Automotive Corporation for over 30 years.

Throughout her life, Flo had many interests including polka, dancing, bowling, playing dominos, casino gambling, sporting events and traveling. She became an avid and skilled player of "Candy Crush", and could out perform any opponent.

Recognizing others was always important to Flo and she never missed sending a card to family and friends on special occasions. She was often referred to as "The Hallmark Queen", as a result. Florence touched many lives in her 92 years and her wisdom brought guidance, faith, and hope to many needing inspiration and direction.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Nellie Messingier, siblings; Al (Felixcia) Messingier, Vivian (Lou) Ruzsas, Virginia (Walter) Trybon, Elizabeth (Roy) Scrimger, Sally Bartoy, and Josephine (Clarence) Renusch, granddaughters; Crystal Grzebinski, and Kelly Grzebinski.

Florence is survived by her children; Anthony (Wendy) Grzebinski, Michael  (Renee) Grzebinski, Sandra Toth, and Nancy (Gaspare) Viviano. Grandchildren; Shelley (Robert) Schroeder, Tim (Theresa) Grzebinski, Sarah Grzebinski, Shea Grzebinski, Carly Grzebinski, Carmen Grzebinski, Lindsay (Ian) Mohr and Rachel Toth. Great Grandchildren; Sarah Schroeder, Jenna Schroeder, Brendan Grzebinski, Ada Grzebinski, Nevaeh Rhoads, Raiya Rhoads and Jackson Mohr.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 20740 S. Nunnely Rd., Clinton Twp, MI 48035, beginning at 11am September 28, 2023.
