Fern Louise Taylor passed peacefully into the hands of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. She was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1932. Fern had five brothers and three sisters who have all gone to be with the Lord. She was closest to her sister, Mary Marie, who was only two years older than her. Fern married Rev. Arthur Taylor in 1956 in Springfield, Missouri at the church he pastored and built. She loved her Bible and read it through each year. She also loved traveling, dining at First Wok, and of course, Art. Art and Fern traveled to many places around the world, but there was no place like home. Art pastored and built churches for 25 years while Fern worked for Warner Norcross and Judd as a legal secretary. She typed 140 words per minute and took shorthand as fast as one could give it. One year she was honored as the Legal Secretary of the Year in Grand Rapids. They had their 67th wedding anniversary celebration last year in June on their deck with 80 people attending. This was organized by three wonderful ladies: Judy Freeman, Jennifer Ranville, and Janet Norman.

A funeral service will take place at Ofield Funeral Home on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM.
