Felipe T. Contreras, 65, of Mercedes, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 23, 208 at home in Wyoming, Michigan. Felipe was born in Santa Rosa, Texas to Eleuterio and Cenovia Contreras. He lived the first part of his life in Texas and the rest of his life in Michigan. Felipe was a passionate man who enjoyed working as a butcher at Family Fare Supermarket. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his truck, reading the Bible, grilling and watching TV (especially action films.) Felipe was extremely loving and proud of his five children; Alejandro, Felipe Jr., Jose Alberto, Luis Pedro and Melissa along with his wife, Aurora. He adored his grandchildren; Alexander Jr., Antonio, Eli Christian, Anahi, Esai, Devon, Santiago, Andie Christine, Emanuel, Angel, Xavier, Aaric, Ines and a great-grandson, Gabriel. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Armando, Guadalupe, Juan Pablo, Jose Eduardo, Jaime and Marta. He was preceded in death by his father, Eleuterio, mother, Cenovia and sister, Rosalinda. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Ofield Funeral Home in Kentwood, MI at 3:00 PM.
