Obituary

E. Shirley Stanciel-Miller has returned to her heavenly home to be with God, her Creator. There to greet her will be her mother and father, Bertha and Andrew Zylstra; her beloved first-born, John Michael Stanciel; her sister and brotherin-law, Lois and Paul Van Vleet; her brother, Daniel Zylstra, plus many dear friends. She leaves to follow her dearly-loved children: Donald and Venola Stanciel, Robert Stanciel, Joyce and David Humphrey, eight beloved grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She acknowledged Bahá'u'lláh as the Promised One of all nations and religions, and as the Return of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as foretold in the Holy Bible, and with this conviction of belief she embraced the Bahá'í Faith in 1962. Shirley spent many years devoting time to her business interests, and giving support to her family as well as serving the Bahá'ií Faith. She and her family enjoyed travel, and with her daughter took an especially delightful trip visiting her son Donald in London, England. She will be forever loved. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26 at 1pm at Ofield Funeral Home, visitation will take please from Noon to 1pm prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements entrusted to the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508
