Esther VanderWaal, of Grand Rapids MI & Phoenix, AZ, passed away on January 16th, 2021 after a tough fight with Covid-19.

Esther was born in 1941, in the Chicago area and in 1969 she married Bill VanderWaal and they settled in Grand Rapids. She was a school bus driver for 25 years. As a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her love and support for her family had no bounds. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, bingo and shopping, always on the lookout for little gifts for her family. She really loved to be with her family and friends, especially her sister Chris.

While her departure from us comes as a shock, she is reunited with her parents, Enes & John Galvan, as well as her sister Theresa. She is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Rita & son-in-law Brian, son John and two grandchildren Maeve & Joshua. She touched the lives of many relatives and lifelong friends of which cannot be numbered.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 8 from 10 AM to 1:00 PM at Boulder Creek Golf Club (5750 Brewer Avenue NE, Belmont Michigan 49306) with the Memorial Service taking place at noon.
