July 10, 2013 Service: July 14, 2013 E. Jane Evans, age 81, of Gun Lake, formerly of Kentwood, Jackson, and Kalamazoo, reunited with the love of her life, Jack, on July 10, 2013. Surviving are her son Michael Evans and his children Jennifer (Jason) Ferguson, Megan Evans; son Timothy (Glenda) Evans and his children Erinn (Aaron) Green, Brent and Meredith Evans; daughter Jan (Bryan) Schievink and their children Kelly, Kim (Lindsay), and Brooke Schievink; great grandsons Rylan Martin, Jack Green, Eli and Emmitt Ferguson; and special friends Montelle Franks and Mary Ellen Baker. Jane was born on July 6, 1932 in Vicksburg, MI. She was known for her quirky sense of humor and ability to tell a great joke. She was a stay at home mom who loved her family, friends, and a good game of bridge. She and Jack spent the last 30 years of their lives enjoying their home at Gun Lake. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 14 from 4-7pm at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, MI.
