April 9, 2015 TANIS, Mrs. Elsie of Fremont and Comstock Park passed away peacefully at Butterworth Hospital in hospice care on April 09, 2015. She was born April 14, 1927 in White Cloud and graduated from the high school in the class of 1945. She operated a beauty shop in White Cloud for many years. Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, siblings Beatrice, Lois, Hazel and Norman. She is survived by her children Rick (Jill) Tanis and Michael (Judy) Tanis, grandchildren Matthew (Allison) Tanis, Joshua McClennon, great grandchildren; Lilliana and Reese Tanis, and special friend Ken Larm. Elsie came from a family of 12 children and is survived by sisters: Loretta (Steve) Oleszczuk, Elanore Thompson, Jean Hecksel, brothers: Dan (Marty) Thompson, Jay (Barb) Thompson, Glenn Thompson, Gordon (Diane) Thompson. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 30 at All Saints Catholic Church Parish Hall in Fremont.
