Elsie Jenny Larson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away at the age of 93, Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at American House of Kentwood. Elsie was born January 20, 1926, to Ove and Ellen Bjerregaard of Detroit, MI. Elsie had a great love of music and played the Clarinet until she was 87. She played in the Calder City Band and the Grand Rapids Recreation Band. Elsie leaves behind her loving son Terry and his wife Carol. Elsie has three grandchildren, Erin and Aaron Sullivan, Jason and Nikki Larson, and Christine and Jovan Willis. Elsie also had seven great-grandchildren, Kailani, Tanner, and Bria Larson, Quincy and Harrison Willis, and Calvin and Laurel Sullivan. Elsie was preceded in death by her son Gregg and husband Ralph Larson. Visitation for Elsie will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. The Funeral Service will be celebrated by Rev. John H. Diener at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church, 150 50th Street SW, Wyoming, MI 49548. There will also be a visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
