Elmer John J. Schroeder passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2026. He will be remembered with love for the life he lived, the family he cherished, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.

Elmer retired from Prab, Inc. after 30 years of dedicated service. A talented metal fabricator and welder, Elmer took pride in his work and the skill he brought to his craft.

An animal lover at heart, Elmer always had a special place in his life for his dogs. He also loved spending time at Little Paw Paw Lake, where many hours were happily spent fishing. Elmer enjoyed trips to the casinos, and the Paw Paw Eagles became a second family and a place where Elmer spent much of his time.

Elmer was preceded in death by both parents, Russell C. Schroeder and Darlene M. Schroeder (Bloomfield).

Elmer is survived by daughter Heather Young (Heather); son Cody L. Schroeder; three grandchildren; siblings Gary R. Schroeder, Rick D. Schroeder (Gail), Kathy Lounsbery (Dick), Mary Chandler, and Scott Schroeder (Rachelle); and several nieces and nephews.

Elmer's memory will live on in the hearts of family, friends, and all who shared in the places, pastimes, and everyday moments Elmer loved. May those memories bring comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Forever remembered. Forever loved.
