Ella Mae Johnson, age 90, of Kentwood, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

Ella was born on June 19, 1931, to Egbert and Cornelia (Rozema) Sybesma in Holland, Michigan. She worked as a homemaker and loved being a mom, grandma, and great grandma.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 72 years, Roy Johnson; children: Connie (Larry) Merritt, Scott (Nellie) Johnson, Timothy Roy (Deb) Johnson, and Paul (Dianna) Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and sister, Patricia "Cookie" (Clifford) Muller.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandson, Leroy Johnson; and siblings: Pauline (Marvin) Haveman, Jean (Robert) Reed, and Lawrence "Larry" Sybesma.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, and again on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Calvary Church, 707 E Beltline Ave SE, Grand Rapids. Burial will follow at 1:30 pm at Rosedale Cemetery, 50 Lake Michigan Dr, Grand Rapids. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Church-Missions. Service Details. Visitation
