Elizabeth Marie (Nieuwdorp)Warmels 9/18/1919 - 5/10/2016 Born in Grand Rapids, MI to Professor James Nieuwdorp and Katie (Vellenga) Nieuwdorp. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Harold J. Warmels. They were happily married for 74 years. Also her brother Dr. John Nieuwdorp M.D., sisters Johanna Ondersma and Anne Beezhold. She is survived by her sons David J. Warmels (Susan) and Daniel J. Warmels (Bonnie). Her grandchildren Michelle, Katlin, Erin, Tristan, Jeremy, Dana and Tess, her dear and faithful friend Anne Standish and several nieces and nephews. Marie (as she liked to be called) had a wicked sense of humor, was always up for a party and had a wonderful sense of fashion. She loved her peace sign earrings, stylish jean jackets, coiffure and her favorite manicures and pedicures. As Marie would say, "everything has its proper place" and her homes proved it. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at her request.
