Ms. Elizabeth Rivera (Ramirez) passed into the presence of her Lord and savior in the early morning of January 29, 2021, due to complications of Covid-19.
Elizabeth (Liz) was born in Havana, Cuba and immigrated with her parents, two sisters and brother in 1962. Her beloved mother (Caridad) preceded her in death in March of 2020 and surely a joyous reunion occurred this morning. Also, preceding her is half-sister Vicky Ramirez, nephew Esteban R. Pou, and step-mother Maria Ramirez.

Liz is survived by two loving children, her son, Eduardo Rivera Jr (Yari) and her daughter, Angelica Elizabeth Rivera (Jason), as well as her father Rosendo Ramirez, Sr. She is also survived by three precious grandchildren, Sophia, Jordan, and Liyani. Six siblings and spouses also survive: Maria Ramirez, Rosendo Ramirez, Jr. (Lynne), Daisy Cruz (Abner), Marilyn Ramirez (Johnny), Jigsey Veliz Ramirez (Ernesto) and Marvin (Kiko) Ramirez (Robin). She also has a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins both in the United States and Cuba. She enjoyed many friendships, old and new.

Liz was known for her devotion to her children and grandchildren, hard work ethic, meticulous houskeeping and her love of Mexican cuisine. She also enjoyed reading her bible and kept it next to her on her nightstand.

A small family gathering was held at her father's home on Sunday to celebrate Liz's life. No other services are planned.
