Eleanor Marie Gehringer was born on November 27, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan. She attended St. Mary's of Redford High School. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Chuck and Paul and her parents, Alfred and Lorena Gehringer. Eleanor is survived by her children, Ralph, Karen, Paul, Steve and Susan; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Eleanor was true fan of the Detroit Tigers due to her Uncle Charlie who was a Hall of Fame member for the Tigers. Her favorite football team was the Denver Broncos and she sported the colors proudly. She was a leading innovator in sales for the Valpac advertising sales and received many awards for achievements. She was the favorite grandmother to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a greatly respected coworker and friend to many. She loved her faith and family with a great passion. Visitation for Eleanor will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 10 at Ofield Funeral Home (4500 Kalamazoo Ave., Kentwood) with a Rosary Service at 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 10 at St. Mary Magdalen Church (1253 52nd St., Kentwood).
