Marvin, Elaine Elaine Sue Marvin, Age 73 of Jenison, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2021 with her husband and family by her side. Elaine was greeted in Heaven by her daughter Michelle Marvin and her mother Inez Smith. She will live on in the hearts of her loving husband of 54 years, Chuck Marvin, her sister Gayle VanWormer, her daughter Sherry (Steve) Mitchell, and her son Jason (Kathy) Marvin. She will continue to be cherished by her grandchildren Kaleigh Mitchell, Zac Mitchell, Emily Mitchell, Chase Droog, Claire Marvin, and Colin Marvin. Elaine enjoyed a wonderful life but never more so than when she spent time with her family, friends, and small group. She enjoyed shopping, garage sales, reading, playing cards, going out to eat, and traveling to explore foreign countries. She will always be remembered for her hostess skills, her delicious home cooked meals and pies, her unconditional, selfless love, and her smile which lit up not only her whole face but everyone's around her. Elaine was the matriarch of our family, her home was the place we gathered on Sundays and holidays to enjoy one another's company. She brought love, gentleness, and kindness everywhere she went. Even through her battle with pancreatic cancer Elaine's care and concern for other's was evident. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 3:00pm at Northwest Gospel Hall, 1350 Garfield Ave NW, Grand Rapids. Preceding the service an opportunity to visit with the family will begin at 1:00 in the church's lower level. Per current Covid restrictions we're asking everyone to please wear a mask.
