Edwin Francis Waslawski – Edwin Francis Waslawski, age 96, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026. 

Husband of Mary Ann (deceased), father of Diane Vogler (deceased), Steven (Mary Ellen), Karen Case, and James (Jason); son of Antoine G. Waslawski and Gertrude Metchtilda Wieczorynski (both deceased); brother of Henry (deceased); Jerome (deceased); Richard (deceased); Joanne Sionkowski (deceased); grandfather of Eva, Melissa, Michael, Daniel, and Sheila; twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. 

Born in Detroit on September 17, 1929, hard work was a way of life whether working in the family bakeries at an early age, studying piano or attending evening automotive repair classes at Cass Tech after work. After serving in the United States Army during the Korean War, Edwin returned to live in Redford Michigan for many years before moving to Ada in 2004. Edwin enjoyed playing the piano, helping others with automotive repairs and spending time with family and friends in the outdoors. His work ethic and sense of humor will be lovingly remembered by all that knew him. 

A memorial mass will be held at St. Robert of Newminster (6477 Ada Dr SE, Ada, MI 49301) on April 10, 2026 at 11:00 am with visitation starting at 10:00 am
