Edward Macklin Jr., 52, of Grand Rapids passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Noelia Macklin. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Davis; father, Edward Macklin Sr.; his brother, Bernard Macklin; grandparents, Jessie and Gurrey Dailey; children, Christina (Rachel) Carey, Edward III Macklin (Jenni Fehrlen), Felicia Beccera, Roxana (Adrian) Jankowski, Evan (Rachael) Macklin, Kaelee (Travis) Steffens, Kyle (Camille) Macklin; 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Edward was a veteran of the Marine Corps and worked for Pridgeon and Clay for over twenty years. He was an avid bowler and member of the Thursday Night Mixed league at Eastbrook AMF and the Miller High Life league at Spectrum Lanes. Edward also had a love for University of Michigan sports. A visitation and memorial service will be held at Ofield Funeral Home (4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood) on Saturday, December 15. A family visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a service held at 2:00 p.m.
