August 15, 2011 Service: August 18, 2011 Our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Edward Combs, lost his battle against cancer and left to continue his journey with God. He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn (Huntington) Combs, his children who he loved so much, Michael (Stevie) Combs, Danny (Jen) Combs, Kristen (Tim) Hearth, and Heather (Derek) Severson; his grandchildren who meant the world to him, Mckenna Combs, Peyton and Alayna Hearth, Hannah and Natalie Combs, and Brendan, Lauryn, Taylor and Brianna Severson; his mother-in-law, Edna Huntington; his brother-in-law, James (Jaclyn) Huntington and his nieces and nephews. His mother, Florence and brothers-in-law, Douglas and Randy preceded him in death and will welcome him home. Edward was a history buff who also enjoyed camping and photography. We will be lost without him and his knowledge. Thank you to Lemmon-Holton Cancer Pavilion, especially Lizzy B. and Rachael, oncology nursing staff at Spectrum Butterworth and Great Lakes Caring Hospice - our Lindsey "Pickle", Lorie, Chris and Cathy. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday, August 18 at Plymouth UCC. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to Plymouth UCC or Great Lakes Caring Hospice Foundation. Visitation will be held Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Ofield Funeral Home and Thursday 10-11am before the service at the church. May God Bless him, he was such a kind soul.
