January 15, 2012 Service: January 18, 2012 Edgar J. "Ed" Stein, aged 77, of Kentwood, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Stein was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Stein. Surviving are his children, Rick (Linda) Stein, Steve (Ann) Stein, Katy Lee, Jim (Molly) Stein, Frances Stein, Bekki Stein, Aaron (Jeanette) Stein, 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a brother, Franchot (June) Stein. Ed was very active at St. Mary Magdalen Church and volunteered at Spectrum Health Continuing Care. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 18 at 11:00am in St. Mary Magdalen Church with Reverend Godfrey Onyekwere, celebrant. Memorials to the American Heart Association will be appreciated. The family will meet with friends and relatives Tuesday 6-8pm at the Ofield Funeral Home.
