Earl Kenneth Thoms, Jr. (81) of Sand Lake, Michigan passed away January 30, 2022 after a short illness. Earl was born February 6,1940 in Three Rivers, Michigan. He was the eldest son of the late Earl K. Thoms, Sr. and the late Edna Shelton. He spent much of his time as a child on his grandparents' farm in Marcellus. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School where he played football and met his wife, Geraldine May Thoms (nee Kelley). Earl was a printer by trade like his father before him and his son currently. His work took him to Benton Harbor (Burch Printers), Lansing, Indiana, Kentucky, Grand Rapids (Wynalda Litho) and around the world when working for Mitsubishi. Earl enjoyed motorcycles both on and off the road, a sport he passed down to his family. He continued dirt bike riding into his 70's until he suffered a stroke. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and archery. Earl was known for his woodwork and artistry. After retirement he could be found at craft shows and his work was on display at local art stores. Earl is survived by his wife of sixty-two years Gerry; their children Sharon McEvoy (David), Dave Thoms and Angela Ullmer (Tim); Grandchildren, Aurora Kjoller (Mark), Andrea Spigelmoyer, Katelyn Reed (Shane), Heather Mallo (Daniel), Stephanie Smith (Ben), Drew Ullmer (Angelle), Samantha Thoms (Roman Fridline), Ashley Thoms, Kelly McEvoy and 10 great grandchildren.
