Duane Allen Dykhouse Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the age of 72.  Born on February 13, 1952, in Grand Rapids, Duane lived a life marked by kindness, friendliness, and unwavering faith.

Duane is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Carol, with whom he shared a beautiful and loving marriage.  He was the cherished father of Duane Jr. (Amy), Kevin (Natalie), and Catherine; and the proud grandfather of Garrett, Jaida, Calli, and Grant.  His unwavering presence and guidance were the cornerstones of his family's life.

A faithful member of the Rush Creek Bible Church, Duane lived his faith in every aspect of his life.  His dedication to his church community was a source of strength and comfort to him, as well as to those around him.  Duane's faith was the guiding force that led him through life's challenges and triumphs, and it remained steadfast until his final days.

Duane's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all those who shared in his life's journey.  The memories created, the laughter shared, and the love spread are treasures that will never be forgotten.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Rush Creek Bible Church, 2334 76th St SW, Byron Center.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Rush Creek Bible Church Hand Bell Choir.
