Doug Sizelove, age 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on July 15, 2024. He was born November 24, 1943 in Kokomo, Indiana to Jack and Claribelle Sizelove. He had a half-sister, Diana Dunham, and half-brother, Rick Sizelove, and two step-brothers, Ronnie Lawson and Andy Cramer. He graduated in 1961 from Godwin High School, in Wyoming, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a B52 Crew Chief, where he met his bride while stationed in Lincoln, Nebraska. Doug and Anita would have been married 60 years this coming January. He loved his family dearly. They had two children, Brad (Amy) and Dana, and two grandchildren Emma and Andrew Sizelove.
Doug retired from Pepsi in 2003 after 37 years, working as a route driver to overseeing Michigan vending operations, in Lansing, Michigan. He enjoyed camping, fishing, shooting archery, working on cars, tinkering on anything that was broken, creating stained glass pieces for friends and family, riding his John Deere tractor, cruising in his T-bucket hot rod, and for years being that crazy guy with a metal detector in his hand trying to find lost treasures.
Doug was a kind hearted, gentle man, who took care of his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place and his life will be celebrated and remembered privately.
