Douglas A. Murray, 76, a native of Adams, NY passed away Sunday at his home in Grand Rapids, Michigan under the care of his family and Hospice of Michigan. Doug was born in Syracuse, NY July 29th, 1939, a son to Walter and Eva Youngs Murray. He married Sandra J. Bura of Watertown, August 3, 1958 in Belleville, NY. Mr. Murray worked in the trucking and transportation industry, living in different cities around the country. Doug and Sandra moved to Bradenton, FL where Doug worked for Donco in Bradenton, overseeing their trucking operations for Tropicana until his retirement. Mrs. Murray passed away August 27, 2007 at her home in Florida. Mr. Murray relocated to Michigan to be near his family in 2010. Doug is survived by his son Rick Murray of Comstock Park, MI and a daughter Debra Powers of Lowell, MI; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was the youngest child of 12 who all preceded him in death.
