Douglas Arthur DeVoid, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 69.

Doug was a proud business owner and entrepreneur. In 1991, he founded Domestic Clean Up Service, a business he built and operated for more than two decades.

Doug cared deeply for his family, and some of the memories they will hold onto most are found in the small, ordinary moments from years ago when everyone was together. Though life and relationships were not always simple, there was a generosity in him that was unmistakably Doug. He found meaning in being able to give to others, and throughout his life, he often did.

Doug also enjoyed long phone conversations with extended family and friends—talking about anything and everything, sometimes simply to pass the time and enjoy the company on the other end of the line.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur DeVoid and Margaret DeVoid, and his brothers, Dale DeVoid and Dwayne DeVoid.

He is survived by his children, Travis DeVoid, Neal DeVoid, and Andrea Vonk.
