October 15, 2012 Service: October 20, 2012 Dorothy Geneva Reid, of Kentwood, passed away October 15, 2012. Dorothy is survived by her husband Floyd of 51 years, children, Mark of Kentwood, Merret of Alto, and daughter-in-law, Vivian Reid of Caledonia, seven grandchildren, Brett, Michaelyn, Ben, Blake, McKenzie, Jessie, and Michelle, sister, Lillian Jenkins of Boise, ID and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Hazel Gorrell, two brothers, Jay (Joann) Gorrell of Trotters, ND and Jim (Virginia) Gorrell of Cheyenne, WY, and son, David Reid. Dorothy grew up on her parent's ranch in Trotters, ND. She graduated from Beach High School in Beach, ND. After graduation Dorothy worked as a telephone operator in Sidney, MT, executive secretary for Shell Oil Co in Billings, MT and Kent Intermediate School District. After retiring, Dorothy sold real estate with Village Bells. For a time Dorothy delved into the world of antiquing, loving every minute. She was very successful buying, selling and furnishing rooms throughout their home. Dorothy's greatest joys in life was loving and watching her children grow up, sharing in their lives and especially her wonderful grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20 at 2:00pm at the Ofield Funeral Home with visitation from 1-2pm before the service.
