Doris E. (nee Fischer) VanderLinde, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2016. Doris was born March 30, 1923 in Grand Rapids, to Adolph and Dora (DeGreen) Fischer, who along with husband Dr. Leonard VanderLinde and Brother Robert J. Fischer, preceded her in death. Surviving are Brothers Charlie (Sue) Fischer, Ron (Yvonne) Fischer and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks and appreciation to nephew Bruce Fischer for the overseeing of Doris's comfort and needs. Doris's ever ready quick wit and kind demeanor will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Should one wish, donations may be made in Doris's name to a charity of choice. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
