Nauta, Doris Elizabeth 10/4/1923 - 7/29/2018 Grand Rapids Doris Elizabeth Nauta (Rypkema), age 94, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018, in Grand Rapids, MI. She was born to Evert and Lucile Rypkema on October 4, 1923, in Grand Rapids, MI. She married Harold Nauta at Camp Pickett in Virginia on June 23, 1944. Doris was a secretary at GRPS Burton Middle School until she retired in 1986. She was happiest spending time with her family. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Harold, and her children, Robert (Susan) Nauta and Barbara (Michael) Dixon. She will be sadly missed by her granddaughter, Kellee (Dennis) Partridge; and four great-grandsons, Gabe, Noah, Theo and Brody Partridge. A private family service will be held. A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
