McLain, Doris Maxine, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 17th, 2017 in Grand Rapids. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Neil McLain, daughter-in-law Julie McLain, and good friend Carl Wollen. She is survived by her children; Gary (Sue), Margie (Mike) Brady, Don, grandchildren; Kellie (Eric) Palmbos, Scott (Rachel) McLain, Kevin (April) Brady, Jennie (Jason) Cripe, great grandchildren; Anna & Joe McLain, Maddie & Jonah Cripe, and Hank & Colin Brady. Doris lived at Samaritas on 32nd Street for 12 years, where she made many friends and truly loved her time there. She will be remembered as a gentle person who loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21st from 6-8pm at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE in Kentwood. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 1pm with visitation 1 hour prior at The Terraces at Samaritas, 2000 32nd St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508
