Mates, Doris 11/1/1952 - 5/20/2017 Grand Rapids, MI Doris "Dorie" Lopez Mates, 64, of Grand Rapids, MI died in Christ at home. She was under Faith Hospice care. She and Bob, her husband, directed the Kent Co. Lutheran Outreach to the Blind. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and adult choir. Dorie is survived by her husband of 10 years; by 10 siblings Jose (Donna) Lopez, Diana Zavala, Lupe (Mike) Gresens, Delfina Alvarado, Suzanne (Ricardo) Berrones, Ernesto (Shirley) Lopez, Nicholas Lopez, Joey Lopez, James (Susan) Lopez, Myra Garduno; by 19 nephews and nieces; and 26 great nephews and nieces. Service: May 24 at 11 AM at Our Savior, 2900 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids 49546. Visitation at 10 AM. Memorial contributions to Our Savior Church Blind Outreach.
