Donna Jean Truax (Tanner) aged 87 of Sparta, MI passed away Saturday morning when she lost her battle with cancer. Jean was born October 28, 1930 in Hastings, Michigan. She graduated from Sparta High School where she was an active member of the band and served as drum majorette her senior year. In 1996 she retired from Meijer after holding several positions in that company. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester (Lett) and Mildred (Millie) Tanner and two of her sons, Michael and Brian Truax. She is survived by her other three children Steven (Kathy) Truax, David Truax and Kathy Young. Her grandchildren, Andrew (Frances) Truax, Marian (Johnathan) Coleman, and Brian Young. Two great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. We will be holding a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the American Cancer Society and Hospice of Michigan.
