Donald (Don) W. Pulte, was born on October 3, 1929, and when asked about his date of birth, liked to joke that his birth caused the great depression. He passed away peacefully with family by his side on August 28, 2024, at age 94 (and 10.5/12ths).

Don loved spending time with his family and friends, especially at the family cottages that he built with his father in the early 1950s, one for Don (who at the time did not know he would eventually be sharing it with his yet unknown future wife, Colleen, and their 5 children), and another next door for his parents. He was an excellent storyteller, happily sharing details of his adventures owning and flying small planes with his late father-in-law, outrunning a tornado shortly after his marriage, his epic fishing trip catching over 100 fish in one day, and other of his life's adventures. Don thrived on learning and sharing his knowledge on a vast array of things. When his children, nieces and nephews, and grandchildren were young, he enjoyed teaching them how to fish, sail, row a boat, target shoot, hunt, and play chess. He was always thankful for, and proud of, his family. He was well loved throughout his life and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Colleen Pulte, his sister, Jeannine (Louis) Sahr, his children, Dean (Sharon) Pulte, Mark (Sue) Pulte, Marie (Carlo Martina) Pulte, William "Bart" Pulte, his grandchildren Samanth (Chris), Melanie, Robert "Bobby", Carly, Jessica, and Jonathan "Johnny", his great-granddaughters, Rebecca and Gennavive, cousin Holly Spencer, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Don is preceded by his parents, Alvin and M. Ann Pulte, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Barbara Narrin, his son, Donald Gregory Pulte, his brother-in-law, Michael Narrin, and his sister-in-law, Susan Cross.
