Donald William Search Sr., 87 years old, passed away surrounded by his wife and family on
Monday, July 22, 2024. Born to the late Warren and Mary Alice Search (Corrigan), Don is
preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Anne Search, brother Warren, sister-in-law Anita
Search, sister-in-law Lucilla Eschmann, and infant daughter Therese Marie. He is survived by
his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Therese, his children; Jeannine (Gary) Toth, Donald Jr.,
Marianne (Ed) Corona, Robert, Timothy (Jackie), and Therese Timm. "PopPop" will also be
missed by his 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Surviving also is his brother-in-law
Charles Eschmann Jr, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Patrick and Margy Connolly. Don
grew up in St. Albans, New York. He raised his 6 children in Stewart Manor, New York. Don
made a career in Marketing and Advertising, most notably with Owens Corning Fiberglas where
a transfer from New York brought him to Toledo, Ohio in 1976. A faithful parishioner, Don
served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio. He was
funny, sincere and soft spoken. A man who always put his family first. His joy was attending the
many events of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren (baptisms, sports games,
recitals, plays, first communions, confirmations, graduations, weddings). An avid sports fan,
Don loved his alma mater's Villanova University Wildcats basketball, Ohio State University
football and the NY Mets. Mass will be held on Monday August 12, 2024, 10:30 am at St.
Joseph's Catholic Church in Maumee, Ohio.  Also, for East Coast family and friends, mass will
be held on Monday August 19, 2024, 10:00 am at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Garden City,
New York. His final resting place is Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, New York. Donations in
