Donald Patrick, 75 of Kentwood passed away March 2, 2023. Don was born March 14,1947, to Fredric and Helen Patrick in Wyoming, MI. He loved to travel with the love of his life, wife Dawn. Don and Dawn met while they were separately vacationing in Florida in March of 1970 and later married that year and have been together ever since. He loved his family and that only increased as his family grew. He was always willing to give a helping hand and loved to joke around with anyone and everyone. One of his great joys, while still able to, was hunting with his good friend Ken Haskin.

Don served in the Army during the Vietnam War and received The Army Commendation Medal for his bravery and selflessness saving others in battle. After returning from war Don worked at Imperial Metals for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife Dawn of 52 years, children Tracy Luman (Greg), Scott Patrick (Lori), Michelle Stallard (Tim), Julie Patrick (Jim), grandchildren Brandon Heckenmueller, Alex Luman, Nikole Warner (Kyle) Ashlie Cardinel (Josh), Jordan Katerberg (Justin), Raeanna, Bryce and Brady Stallard, Emerson, Grey and Maeve Dwyer and 6 great grandchildren. Brothers Brian Patrick, Ray Patrick (Lou Ann). sisters Judy James (Ike), Delores Maliepaard (Terry), sister-in-law Peggy Swanson and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Kay Thatcher and Carol Brown, brother Roger Patrick(Peggy Jo), brothers-in-law Rahn Bentley, Bud Daniels, and sister-in-law Judy Daniels.
