Donald Mooney (Don) age 65 of Grand Rapids passed away Feb 12,2019 after many years of struggling with health problems. Don is preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Mooney. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Charlene (Char); brothers, Tom Mooney (Julie), Jim Mooney; sisters, Jackie O'Neal and Cindy Barnes (George). Also living are two nieces who held a very special spot in Don's heart, Cerissa O'Neal and Ashley Witvoet along with numerous family members, extended family and special friends who will miss him dearly. Don worked as a mechanic and semi-truck driver. He loved working on classic cars and trucks, but his true passion was riding his Harley. A Celebration of Life will take place on February 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Ofield Funeral Home (4500 Kalamazoo Ave. SE in Kentwood). Visitation will take place prior to the service at 1:00 pm.
