Donald Leroy Jack Jr., known affectionately as Don to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025 at 2:48pm at 69, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, following a stroke. Born on September 23, 1956, in Stanwood, Michigan, Don's life was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures and the strength of family bonds.

Don grew up Morley, MI in the loving home of his parents, the late Donald and Lorene Jack, alongside his siblings Larry, Leonard, Cheryl, and Mike. He attended Morley-Stanwood High School, where he formed friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. After graduation, Don embarked on many paths including the steel industry, dedicating many years to mastering his craft. His work ethic and adaptability later led him to the windmill fiber optic systems, where he continued to make a significant impact until his retirement.

Throughout his life, Don's interests were as varied as they were passionate. He had an enduring love for a cup of coffee, live music, classic cars, firearms, and road trips with Jeffy D. His job took him across the United States, but no matter where he was, Don always found time to connect with his kids and grandkids. He was a beacon of joy at family gatherings, always ready to share a laugh or lend a helping hand.

Don's legacy is carried on by his beloved family, including his siblings, his oldest son Kirk and wife Angie and their children Landon, Braxton, and Harper, his youngest son Kalin and wife Liz, and their children Adalyn and Emerson, stepdaughters Brandy Marshall and her children, Bobbie Jo Myers and her children Halie, Lauren, and Trevor. Don also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Those who knew Don will remember him as the epitome of friendliness, selflessness, and humor. His ability to light up a room with his presence and make everyone feel included was unparalleled. Don's laughter was infectious, and his willingness to help others was boundless. He was the kind of man who not only made friends easily but also maintained those friendships with unwavering loyalty.
