Donald Byrnes, 84, of Hudsonville, MI went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Don served in the Navy and was stationed overseas during the Korean War during peace time. He worked with his Uncle in the early days and helped work on the recipe for the famous Windmill Cookies. Don retired from Waste Management. He enjoyed spending time with his family, wood working, camping and Trivia on Friday nights at the American Legion. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Cynthia (Putman) Byrnes; children, Dan (Becky) Byrnes, Robert Byrnes, Debbie (Dave) Manshum, and Michelle (Keith) King. Grandchildren, Richard Byrnes, Christopher (Sam) Groelsma, Corey (Gina) Byrnes, Kaila (John) DeGroot, Nathan Beld, Ally (Parker) Holtoff, Kevin Byrnes, Ben Zuiderveen, Taya King and Nikki (Ryan) Meeuwenberg and 15 great grandchildren. Brother Mike (Pam) Byrnes, Brother- In-Laws; Dennis Putman, Greg (Jo) Putman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents Bernard and Lena Byrnes and daughter Kathleen Byrnes.
