September 13, 2011 Service: September 20, 2011 Donald L. Allen, age 74, was called home to eternal glory September 13, 2011. He is survived by his sons Eric and Ethan and his grandchildren Christian and Adria Allen. Donald Attended Kelloggsville Highschool and spent a semester at Grand Rapids Community College before enlisting in the Navy where he served 2 years of active duty in the Atlantic fleet. Donald spent 33 years working as an electrician in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 275 (formerly 107) and the last 14 years happily retired In Manistee, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife of Patricia (Genther) Allen. The funeral service will be held 10:00am Tuesday, September 20 at Holy Trinity Evangelical Church, 4201 Burlingame SW. A luncheon will be held following the service at church. His family will meet with friends Sunday 6-9pm and Monday 1-3 and 6-9pm at the Ofield Funeral Home and Tuesday 9-10am at the church.
