Dolores Mae Hansen of Grand Rapids, MI, age 91, passed away into the loving arms of her Lord on January 27, 2025. She was born to Raymond and Lola Boucher on August 5, 1933 in Dearborn, MI. Dolores graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI where she met the love of her life, Harry Hansen, which turned into 68 years of marriage. They truly made a wonderful love story together.
Her greatest joy was raising her four children and spending time with them and their families. Her favorite things in life were spending time in her pool, the summers at Little Whitefish Lake, and singing in her church choir. For 23 years, she shared her strong faith with her many friends at Sunset Park Church of God. She also enjoyed the many friendships she had in her neighborhood where they lived for 62 years. She took great pride in preparing meals for her family and was always searching for the next greatest recipe. Her favorite activities included swimming, playing volleyball, bowling, and playing UNO with her family and friends. She was a true animal lover, and loved her many dogs and cats throughout the years. Her most treasured treat was chocolate of any kind.
This sweet, kind and funny soul will be missed dearly. The last several months of her life, she made a new home at Railside Assisted Living Center, where she was loved and cared for deeply. She will be greatly missed by the many hearts she touched at Railside.
She will be happily reunited with her husband Harry who passed away in 2023. We know they are holding hands again and smiling at one another in heaven. She leaves behind a loving brother Dennis Boucher (Cindy). She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by her children Richard Hansen (deceased), Ron Hansen, Denise Petchauer (John), and Dyan Ott (David), grandchildren Ryan Petchauer (deceased), Alison Hamaker (Ty), Kelsey Brouwer (Zach), Conor, Cara (engaged to Brendan Shagena) and Crysta Ott (engaged to Joe Klunder), Taylor Hansen (mother Mary Winn), and great grandchildren Hayes and Mesa Hamaker, Jett Brouwer, with another Brouwer baby arriving any day.
