Diane Joan DeHaan, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, born July 10, 1947 passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on March 21, 2021.

Preceding her in death were her mother Joan Seib, her father John Seib, her stepmother Catherine Danza, and her beloved brother Bill Seib. She is survived by Mart her husband of 52 years, her dearly loved children Ben DeHaan (Heather), and Jen DeHaan (Jill); her sisters Adrianne Lahar (Jeff), Cathy Korber (Ray), and Laura Seib; her brothers Jack Seib (Melinda), and Greg Seib (Eve); her sisters and brothers-in-law and many treasured nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by her many friends and large extended family.

While gradually losing her own voice to Primary Progressive Aphasia, Di never lost her concern for those in the community whose voices had been silenced and whose stories were rarely told. She was a committed and compassionate woman who will be remembered for her care and advocacy for the vulnerable and for her generous hospitality, wit, and joy. Her love for those around her was rooted in her deep and abiding faith in the Lord.

Her life will be honored and remembered privately by family and friends.
