Obituary

Dennis John Taylor, died peacefully in his home, Friday, August 16 after fighting a tough
battle with pancreatic cancer for the past three years. He was 71 years old.

Born in 1953 in Inkster, Michigan. Dennis was the oldest son of Samuel and Patricia
(Ainsworth) Taylor and the middle of five children. He graduated from Cherry Hill
Highschool School in 1971 and was a dedicated supervisor at Ford Motor company for 34
years where he met his beloved, Jayne Taylor. Dennis and Jayne were married on June 18,
1983 and 41 years later were more in love with each other than ever.

Dennis found another love when he committed his life to his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
The knowledge of this love changed Dennis profoundly and was his goal and prize until he
took his last breath. Dennis lived to love and serve God through loving and serving his
neighbor. Whether he was serving as an Elder or Deacon in his church or playing Mr. Fixit for
his family, friends, and churches in his neighborhood. Dennis would help anyone in need,
friend or stranger, and his love for God motivated him to do this so selflessly.
Dennis retired early from Ford Motor Company at the age of 53 and lived life to the fullest.
Dennis found joy in volunteering full-time as a maintenance man at Camp Geneva, being a
school bus driver, playing plenty of golf, and traveling the world with his wife, Jayne.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Patricia (Ainsworth) Taylor, and
sister Paula Coleman.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Jayne (Zorn) Taylor; children, Melissa (Mark) Keen, David
Taylor, Dan (Michelle) Taylor, Amanda (Casey) Rycenga, and Amber (Michael) Jefferies;
