Denise Ann Morris of Howard City, Michigan, age 64, passed away September 16, 2022.
She was born to Charles and Bettie (Bush) Dalenburg on April 29, 1958, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the youngest of three children and grew up in Wyoming, Michigan. She was a 1976 graduate of Godwin Heights High School. She worked for many years as a bus driver for Belding Area Schools and then went on to drive for the Grand Rapids Home for the Veterans. She loved her students and vets with all her heart. She was awarded the prestigious honor of employee of the year at the Veteran's Home.
Denise loved to work in her gardens and flower beds. She had a love of reading and would often be found with her nose in a book. In her free time, Denise would enjoy spending time with her grandchildren, friends, and her church family.
Denise is survived by her husband Dirck Morris; daughter Renae (Sam) Gavitt, brother Kim (Robin) Dalenburg, sister in-law Jan Dalenburg, granddaughters Alyssa, Hannah and Rowan and grandson Greyson.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Bettie Dalenburg, brother Brent Dalenburg and beloved daughter Angela Apsey.
There will be a time of visitation and celebration of life from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2,
2022, at Kids' Food Basket, 1300 Plymouth NE Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
