Debra Irene Bartman (Barker), age 71, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away on August 25, 2022.

She was the second born to Shirley and David Barker. She graduated from Rockford High School and went on to attend Cornerstone University (formerly Grand Rapids Baptist College).

Debra enjoyed singing and shared that love of music with her family. Although she was a private person, many were drawn to her, often referring to her as "mom" or "favorite." She had a sense of humor that
kept everyone laughing.

She was a great, compassionate listener and saw the best in others. She was very resourceful and did not have much, but she was always willing to help others with what little she
did have. "Debbie" or "Deb" as she was known as by those who knew her best, loved her children more
than anything and considered her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter to be, in her words, her "contribution to society."

She is survived by her siblings Diane Hamstra, Elizabeth Johnson, Jeff (Mary) and Steve (Janet) Barker; her children Amanda Bartman, Molly (Jose) Perez, Aaron Bartman, and Thaleaha (Terrance) Goldsmith; her grandchildren Alicia (Ricky) Perez-Hobbs, Ceaira Perez, Aleah and Arriana Loveless, Elijah Budd and Aaron Jr, Isaiah, Alaynna, Moses and Ezekiel Bartman; and great granddaughter Amaya Hudnell, as well as host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was proceeded in death by her great granddaughter Tuesday Loveless, her parents, niece Stacy Hamstra and brothers in law Warren Johnson and Stan Hamstra.

Visitation will occur on Wednesday, September 14 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Ofield Funeral Home
located at 4500 Kalamazoo St SE Kentwood, MI 49508. A memorial service will be held on Thursday,
September 15 at 11:00 at Together Church located at 2950 Clyde Park Ave Wyoming, MI 49509. A
luncheon will immediately follow the memorial service at the lodge at Pinery Park located at 2301 De Hoop Ave Wyoming, MI 49509. Friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate Debbie's life at any one or all of the events listed. Service Details. Visitation
