Obituary

Deborah (Debby) Smith of Vandercook lake passed away November 27th 2020

Born January 11,1952 in Jackson MI to parents Rosemary and Gerald Smith

Debby was one of 4 children. She attended Vandercook Lake Schools. She enjoyed many jobs in her lifetime. From working as a gas station attendant at Sam's and helping people pump their gas, even though she was not supposed to. To serving lunches to children at Townsend. Along with working in many other customer service related jobs.

Debby enjoyed spending time up north, her dream was to live in the UP one day. Although she didn't get to do it as often as she would have liked to, Debby enjoyed traveling to new and old locations. She enjoyed camping with her family, and going to the races. She loved to make cakes for her family and friends.

Debby's passion was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren . She enjoyed showing them how to make and decorate cakes. She loved to have them spend the night. She took an interest in whatever they enjoyed, whether it was a movie they liked, books, or sports she tried her best to relate and enjoy it with them.

Debby is survived by her four children. Lisa (Randy) Sebolt of Michigan Center, Vicky (Ben) Hensel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jim (Jen) Brown of Vandercook Lake, and Bobby (Kim) Brown of Moscow. She had 14 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Sisters Diana Shaw of Vandercook Lake and Jenny Meade of Oxford North Carolina.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, and her brother Gary Smith.

Debby has been cremated per her wishes. At this time there will not be any services due to Covid 19 restrictions. The family will plan a celebration at a later date.
