Deb passed away Friday July 22, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Guertler and will be missed by her children Jess DuVerneay (Brian) and Charles Dodge, her step-daughter Amy Ayers, her grandkids Elise Phipps and Isaac Winslow, her mother Sandy (Joyce) Miller- Dewey, her brothers and sisters Heidi Miller (Rob), Connie, Tom, and Pam Yoak (Al), many nieces and nephews, and any child that had the joy of building a sandcastle with her.

Deb was creative, practical, down-to-earth, industrious, self-sufficient, independent, whimsical, organized, thrifty (but not cheap), generous, caring, supportive, wise, funny and exacting. She loved nature, collecting miniatures and spoons, being crafty, and the magical things in life. She could solve most any mechanical problem and always was able to fix it herself. She spent a majority of her career at Allegra & Imaging, graduated from Ottawa Hills High School, and was a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids, MI.

A celebration of life will be held on her birthday this summer in Michigan.
