Obituary

Debbie Joyce Probst (Uptgraft), age 67, of Lowell passed away peacefully the morning of February 14, 2019. She was at home surrounded by her loving family. She fought a courageous six-week battle with lung cancer. Debbie will be deeply missed by her two sons, Ted Probst and Todd (Deb) Probst along with her six precious grandchildren, Baily James, Breanna Nicole, Brayden Frederick, Madelyn Rose, Brittney Lauren, Katelyn Addison (Katiebugs) and sisters, Darlene Weimer, Joanne (Larry) Bailey, Diane (Mike) Olian and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Maryann (Sally) Uptgraft and her darling sister, Dorothy Madden. Debbie was born on July 17, 1951. She and her sisters were raised by their parents in Battle Creek Michigan. She remained in Battle Creek until moving to Lowell Michigan in 2007 to be closer to her sons and grandchildren whom she adored! She enjoyed family time, grandchildren's sporting events, annual trips to the zoo, special time with her sisters, and feeding the ducks with Katiebugs. She had six grandchildren who were the light of her life. Her passion in life was always doing things for others and taking care of her family. She was employed at JC Pennys where she was one of their leading sales clerks. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ada Bible Church (Cascade Campus) 8899 Cascade Rd. SE, Ada, MI 49301 on Tuesday, February 26th at 11 am with a luncheon immediately following.
